Illuminate - My Recent Photomanipulation project, which took around 4 days to complete.

Timelapsed: 6-8 hours.

Concept: The concept behind this piece came from the inspiration I took from both the movies 'The Prestige' and 'The Illusionist'. I wanted to incorporate the magical feel and the abilities of this one magician but also include the theory of the illuminati new world order, So the use of the letter burning with the symbol of the order and the symbol made out of water in my opinion really added to the theme of this piece. Overall this piece is a combination of OTT use of objects with the right amount of concept. I really hope you enjoy this project and keep watching my videos.

This is the first time I've ever seen a digital artwork using water splashes in a form of a twister. And it really feels like this magician has an incredible power of the forces of nature.

Though there are a few things I'm quite concerned with.

When I close my eyes and open again, the first thing I see is the word 'Illuminate'. Though I would assume that the main subject of this piece should have been the magician. And why is the word the first thing I see? It's because it is the one with the most contrast.

In addition, I am quite confused with the title of the artwork 'Illuminate' as it can be referred to as to shine light upon something. And the only thing I see glowing in this piece is the lamp which I highly doubt is the subject of the piece.

I really love how the artist composed the objects that floats around the magician, the free flow of how the water turns and splash, and the right amount of contrast that blends the entire piece together.

But it just feels like there's too much stuff going on. And my advice to make it better is just to crop the bottom half of the picture in a form of a square, and take away some objects - sta.sh/02ehcekg7ek1
